Well, another lawyer with all the judgement qualities of a thick headed teenager. I didn't hate him, but he was a judgmental sap. His little brother, however, needed to be kicked hard and repeatedly in the crotch, and the aunt (her aunt, that is) was a total scumbag and even more judgmental and bigoted than the ML. Being old is no excuse to be violent and nasty.

I really loved Kat. Andrew was OK, although I liked his sister a lot more. His parents and her father and stepmother should have a fatal encounter with truck-kun. As for the silicone wonder, she should get drunk and wake up married to a sleazy pimp.

Well... Not really all that bad, but he really was an idiot and a dick. He was perfectly happy to wallow in guilt for something that wasn't his fault (after all, they were hit by a drunk driver), but when the guilt was justified, he had to do something about it (to his own advantage). REALLY weird! I’m probably a royal jerk myself, but my happy ending for this story would be her dumping him at the end and his brain blue-screening.

Fun read. Good main characters and banter between them too. I liked the book and the manga adaptation is well done also.

Really nice story. FL was a strong woman with a mind of her own who wasn't intimidated by snobby jerks, and the ML was a decent man who, instead of the usual Harlequin trope of using childhood trauma to be a complete a**hole, decided to become a better human being because of it. Wish more Harlequin MLs had that kind of character instead of using all their energy to become the ultimate douchebag.

I really liked it. The FL was a good, dedicated professional and the ML was masculine without being an arrogant prick or having enough hangups to keep a team of psychiatrists busy. Decent and well-written story.

Well, he was a dope for not telling her about the past, especially since everyone knew and she was bound to find out. And for him to get butthurt and accuse her of a lack of trust when he’s been keeping secrets from her is a typical male defense when they feel guilty (I know because I’m a guy and have seen it all my life, and even caught myself starting to do it). At the same time, it was a really nice story, and he wasn't an arrogant idiot blinded by his own testosterone.

Papa was a total dope! If your adolescent daughter hates an older man who "takes a liking to her," listen to her damnit! This father should be buds with the father in the Balfour family series who cures his daughters of being party girls by giving them into the sole custody of arrogant man-whores. On another note, the ML's step-father was a good deal responsible for the dis-function of "his" family. As a "proud Greek man" he married the mother and kicked the son, who had been working frantically to provide for the four women in the family, to the curb. This is basically telling the ML (who was quite young and earnest) that THEY are MY family now, and you can get lost. In other words, "You're NOT my family and now you're useless to the mother and sisters you've loved and taken care of all your life."

Not a bad story, but the ML was a dope. He let his sicko sister, who never bothered to hide her teeth, bully his timid wife, and believed what she told him. He also let her run his children's lives after the wife was gone. He also didn't realize that, if the wife came back from Geneva alive, the plot would have come to nothing and sis would have been exposed. Therefore, the logical conclusion is that the sister had the car sabotaged. Also, I was really creeped out with his logic of basically telling the FL that she was like his wife, but with more character. That whole scenario was a little unsettling.

This one rocked! Loved her and he was hilarious. Two thumbs up definitely.
