Her Royal Pain-in-the-Highness
It wasn't bad at all, but the ML was kind of a doofus. As a guard tasked with her safety, he failed miserably on three separate occasions.
Keir O'Connell's Mistress
I can't completely put my finger on it, but I felt something very off with the ML and his family. His brothers were a**holes, but that wasn't the reason I felt flags, so to speak. I think that it was that almost all of them (especially the ML) had weird reactions to nearly every situation or development. If I'd been thrown into their milieu, I would have been itching to leave right away while expecting someone to go homicidal or burst into song at the sight of breakfast.
The Prince's Cinderella
A little cliche, but it was a pleasant read without promiscuous horndogs and complete airheads.
Double Exposure
Uh, Okay, I guess. I have to admit that I find the trope of the traumatized man whose trauma makes him into a promiscuous horndog who can't commit rather boring and silly. I also find boring and overdone the trope of the ML who, after basically pledging his love and getting the girl to love him, dumps her "for her own good." I can only see that as a total crock.
Graecia No Mahou
Aaaaannnndd... We have another English author peddling the myth that male Greek billionaires are too stupid to come in out of the rain and that they positively leap to conclusions so they can exact revenge for broken hearts and butt-hurt pride. It also promulgates another popular HQ myth: that southern European women are furiously jealous of and actively plot against any English women that their men fall in love with. At least the poor sap wasn't totally promiscuous and pretending to hold the moral high ground. That alone gives this three stars. A second point: why wasn't homey really pissed off with his mother when he finds out that she was the one who actively sabotaged his marriage?
The Baby Discovery
I liked the MCs a lot, and also the other people in the story, although her father could probably rain on any parade you can imagine. I felt quite bad for the birth mother, but the birth father should be put in general populace in prison and his story told to everyone. As a result, his life expectancy will be just as short as he deserves.
Rider on Fire
It's a Sharon Sala story, so it goes without saying that it's top of the line for Harlequin. The plot is interesting and it's not as full of tropes and cliches as the usual HQ cookie cutter works.
Claiming His Replacement Queen
Loved her. He was, uh, okay. Her "father" sucked and should be fed to a bevy of starving hyenas. ML's "advisor" should be tried for attempted murder and publicly executed as an example of what happens when you attempt to murder the legitimate government.
