The Sweetest Trap
Sorry to be such a downer, but Mr. Perfect was a perfect sap. His "I know best" attitude would make any sane woman homicidal, and the fact that he was so damn pushy about making her finish her ghastly father's work when she was obviously distraught at the thought of it gave me a very low opinion of his empathy. He also blew hot and cold on her until anyone would have been in complete confusion about his feelings. In other words, he was a completely unobservant and unempathetic dope.
Unwrapping the Innocent's Secret
Well... He certainly sucked. The word no is apparently beyond his understanding. People like him almost make me understand why there was an Inquisition. Also, at an abbey, convent, or whatever, innocent teenage girls were neither forced nor allowed to nurse horndogs by the nuns
Impetuous Masquerade
I liked the FL. Everyone else in both families were garbage, and her boyfriend was a POS. She should have shut all of them out of her life.
Unlocking Her Innocence
I'm shocked! It's by Lynne Graham and I didn't want the ML to be used as a bayonet training dummy or a target at a Viking axe throwing contest. It was pretty good.
Girl On A Diamond Pedestal
I enjoyed it pretty much. Riho Sachimi almost always does a good job story-wise, as well as her gorgeous art. However, if the slime father had talked to my beloved like that, deliberately hurting her, I would have knocked his teeth through the back of his throat.
When You Call My Name
As usual, Ms Sala writes a great yarn, with really good characters. I really love how her male characters can be as manly as all get out, without their testosterone making them into stupid, misogynistic alpha-holes. Go Sharon!
The Italian's Demand
They were both not bad people, but they both were also in need of meds. He made an extremely vulgar and misogynistic suggestion when they were deciding early on about what to do about the child. Until the end, he never said he loved her, just that he "wanted" her, meaning "I want to have sex with you." I'm sorry, but that ain't romance, it's lust and pretty selfishly presented at that.
The Uncompromising Italian
I enjoyed it. Plot wasn't bad. ML understands women and girls about as much as I understand superstring theory, but he wasn't a scumbag. At the same time, his attitude of “There’s no better man than me” was ludicrous. Still, It was a good yarn and I enjoyed it.
Follow That Groom!
For someone who could beg and manipulate a woman he doesn't know into a fairly sexy photoshoot, he sure did the big wimp out when it came down to the bottom line. I really did like Miguel and his mom, but the photographer should go work for CheeseCake R Us.
