An Unlikely Romance
Aaaannd... Betty Neels does it again. Instead of referring to a foregone conclusion, the term "no-brainer" in this story would have to refer to the ML.
Right Husband! Wrong Bride?
I guess I’m weird and could never be an Harlequin ML, but if a sweetheart like her had worked to learn and try to share my interests, I would have at least been touched and appreciative that she liked me that much. Getting angry and butthurt over it seems pretty stupid to me. Also, there is no way in hell I could act like that with a woman who had just given me her first time, nor could I insult her in front of someone else, especially a male coworker. I’m not hung up on virginity, but that is a pretty special gift and he pretty much basically urinated on it. When an author comes up with an FL that endearing, it really steams me that she has to end up with an asshole.

Her Pregnancy Surprise
It was OK, but it's the kind of story that makes me remember one of my father's three rules of life, "Never go to bed with someone who has more problems than you do,” and Danny-Boy had more problems than a calculus textbook. He was also an a**hole.
The Promise of Happiness
The ML was a nice guy, but he sure had a really stupid mental block for a good part of the story. "I really like totally selfish, bitchy glamour girls who are only interested in my money!" Does he also hope she'll use her stiletto heels on him and take a whip to his butt?
Her Forever Man
I'd have rated it higher, but God a'mighty the ML was dumb! His picture could be next to the definition in the dictionary. I think the family curse is due to the male members being so stupid that their wives have to leave or die to protect their sanity.
Urban Cowboy
This gets 5 stars from me just for Rick. He had more character than the rest put together. Actually that's not entirely true, as Alexandra was a great character. She got out from under the thumb of her crappy, threatening parents and did everything on her own when things were the worst for her. The pouty ML was about as romantic as compost heap. That attitude is understandable from an overly dramatic 13 year old girl, but not from him.
His Secretary's Surprise Fiancé
The ML's lack of class is on par with some of the great cads of history. He not only parades his unending succession of hoes in front of his innocent childhood friend, he makes her write up sex friend contracts with them and handle the breakups since he's too much of a coward to do it himself. He takes her for granted and manipulates her right and left. I'm sorry, but he doesn't even have the gonads to make a good man-whore. He was nothing more than a pile of excreta. Side Note: Why is it only women who can be used goods? Double Standard much?
