Untouched until her ultra-rich husband
Loved her, but every other character in the story can die in a ditch.
THE BRIDE'S SEDUCTION
After "The Marriage Debt," I was expecting something brilliant from the author, but this one had more forced drama, unworthy scummy characters and loose ends than I've seen in a while. The author does tend to write stories where the FL's family could only improve with regular and severe beatings.
A Night of Royal Consequences
Very early on I lost count of the times she said “No.” He seemed to never hear them. Story itself was all over the place.
Taken by the Highest Bidder
Not totally bad, but I couldn't get into it. After 22 years in the infantry and two combat tours, the idea of putting your life on the line for fun and thrills leaves me cold. I've just seen too many thrill seekers die what I can only think of as stupid deaths.
The Venetian's Midnight Mistress
Uh... How does the dude (who is older than her) go from "I despise her from the depth of my being and will always belittle and insult her" to "I love her more than my own life and will need her always?" It's almost like Cupid started shooting arrows for real. Maybe Oberon was careless with his plant extract. His emotions and character were just a little too "presto-change-o" to suit my critical faculties. Did he even have a real character or was he just a collection of stupid impulses?
