People came to call these illegal versions of eta “Ita.”

And eta was what Ajin and Hyeon once used as their salvation.
Hyeon believes Ajin abandoned him, and when the Ajin who had run away is eventually caught, Hyeon uses eta to thoroughly degrade and torment him.

As the two of them pour out all the festering emotions they’ve held toward each other, they come to realize that the conflicts between them were not born from each other at all, but from the military and eta itself.
They decide to join forces and escape the stage that was set up to use them.
