In 1960s America, the blunt macho Dennis takes on a shepherding job alone for three months in the summer, with the mysterious condition of "don't trust anything but sheep."
A month later, a mysterious man appears. The man reveals his name as Todd and introduces himself as having come here to hunt. Dennis is wary of Todd, but gradually realizes that he is a decent person and gradually falls in love with him.
While Dennis can't make up his mind easily despite having a strange relationship with Todd, a coyote ends up killing a sheep. Will Dennis take the hand of doubt or conviction?
