Then, one day, the snake spoke. It promised to become a dragon and grant a wish if he shared some of his energy and helped it ascend to heaven, so she agreed to live with it, dreaming of winning the lottery.

The atmosphere he exuded also resembled something else.
Rather than a human, he was a monster—no, a demon, or perhaps a god.
