Summary
High school student Sora Ueno lives in a small mountain town, but she has never truly felt comfortable there. The only person she could open her heart to was her childhood friend, Hinako. However, on the night of the Minazuki Festival in 1984, Hinako mysteriously disappeared. Everyone in the village claimed it was a "kamikakushi"—a divine abduction—and they made little effort to search for her.
Years passed, and in 1988, Hinako suddenly returned... looking exactly the same as she did four years earlier. After her "return," Hinako faces fear and rejection from the villagers and slowly becomes isolated. Determined to protect her no matter what, Sora stays by her side. But soon, disturbing mysteries surrounding the town and Hinako's disappearance begin to surface...
