Stay At Home For Several Days

Why is it that when something gets popular people act like it's the origin and paragon of the trope it contains? It's so annoying. Then when they see an unrelated post about the same trope that's about another story, they compare those two together it sm to the point as if they're making it seem like every story that involves that trope should follow the flow and example of said popular story. I know people have their own opinions and stuff, and believe me when I tell you I've been trying to mind my business for so long but I just can't anymore. I'm so sick of people just comparing unrelated characters to one another saying shit like "oMg pOpUlAr ChArActEr bEcAmE tHis ChaRacTer BecaUse He gOt tiRed oF plaYing iNsErt SpoRT/ DOinG inSert hObBy/joB lOLloL", talking down on one just because the other is more popular, saying this story copied this from that story when just some basic ass fucking trope, harassing other people just because they don't have the same opinion/ don't like the story they like/ like a ship they don't like etc. People never know basic respect and limits, they can never read the room, they're always holed up in that little world of theirs inside their brains forgetting that other people WILL have different opinions, WILL have different tastes, there WILL always be stories with similar tropes/plots/flow whether its intentional or unintentional, and there WILL be people who'll get annoyed by your actions, you're not the only one who has emotions, prepared to get bit back when you keep agitating, taunting and talking down on others and the things they like. They don't realize the world doesn't revolve around them. You're not that special. You're just a normal, average citizen among a billion people.

The way you act is not healthy nor is it okay. You're the one who needs help. YOU'RE the one who needs to hear "Relax, its not that deep.", not the person you just harassed for hours until they eventually proved you wrong and you decide to backtrack bc you know you're losing the argument but you don't want to just apologize and admit your wrongs.
