I searched up when averagely does a person’s brain stop developing, and honestly 25 seems like a very good age to start considering someone an adult.
At 25 a lot of people who chose to go to college and move out at 18 will be finished and have gotten a job and the hang of living on there own.

I don't think reaching adulthood happens at a certain age, but when you reach the mentality of a person capable of holding responsibilities and being respectful. A person could be in their 30s or more and still act like a child, barely being able to function as an adult in society. Reaching adulthood has two meanings, reaching adulthood physically and psychologically. If we were to talk about the latter, i would say it doesn’t have a age. I think legal age is not always equivalent to being an adult. Some gets to feel they’re an adult at an earlier age, some takes time. So the legal age is like a developmental milestone that “typical” person is suppose to be able to think for themselves. Like other milestones: wean off bottle feeding, use diaper, go to school independently. So ...... reply
This may sound stupid but, I don't get why boys and girls have different legal ages. I mean why not just make it the same age? Like it's both 19 for boys and girls or something. And to answer your question, I think 18 or 19 is fine, I may be just saying this because of that's what I grew and normalize thru tho. reply
