Pro tip: If you ever get arrested, just pass out. Innocent or not, you can't be held accountable if you're unconscious ;)   reply

TREES LEGAL CLASS [Question]

Okay so I watch a lot of true crime and interrogations. I’ve been interrogated myself six times. I’ve gone to court at least five times. My grandfather worked with law enforcement for more then 15 years.

I obviously don’t have a degree but let me give you some advice most people don’t know about that I think everyone should. THIS APPLIES TO INNOCENT PEOPLE AND GUILTY PEOPLE.

•The police will use something called the futility technique in interviews: this is where they tell you something along the lines of “we already have DNA evidence (your hair/blood/fingerprints) piled up against you/ we all know you did it”. They are ALMOST ALWAYS lying. They are trying to get you to admit you did the crime (even if you haven’t). Don’t fall for it.
•I CANT STRESS THIS ENOUGH: ALWAYS ASK FOR A LAWYER. Even if you are innocent DO NOT TALK TO POLICE. Even if you think it will help you. They will use anything you say against you. You have a right to remain silent. Talking is how most innocent people get convicted.
• Polygraph tests aren’t admissible in court. If you fail one they will try and pretend it’s game over for you. It’s not.
•If they ask you what punishment a person should get for ___ crime (that they think you did), give the harshest possible punishment. Most innocent people do.
•They will try to get you to admit to a lesser crime so they can hold you under custody. DONT
•They will try and wear you down to create mental fatigue over several hours so they can get you to admit to a crime. DONT.

If y’all want more of these, leave a comment asking.

I feel like most people should know about this stuff.

Overall: DONT TALK TO POLICE EVER

I'm not going to mine I'm a class of 2020 when that time comes I'm just going to be home reading manga. My bf says that I should go (if no one prompose she would be my date) and I know that no one is going to prompose to me so I rather stay home and I don't like crowded places   reply

I have never been promposed to, so no first-hand stories, but I saw three promposals so far in my life. I'm a sophomore, so only halfway through. I saw one in freshman year: The guy dressed up as Prince Eric and had a Flounder stuffed animal....fish..... and had purple and blue streamers hang from the top of the door behind him. There was a sign s......   reply

Since prom season is going on and is almost over, have you guys ever got promposed or promposed to someone? What went down when it happened? Or if you haven't experienced either, what was an interesting promposal you saw? Personally I enjoy listening to stories of promposals since they're usually not too serious and just something fun that people do. Some people did a flashmob at my school to prompose to their girlfriends and it was pretty cool.
