Anything sharp, lighters, anything that could pierce them e.g earrings, they could also scratch themselves so try to keep their nails short. Just try to stay with them as they could pull on their hair or hit themselves, etc. But most importantly, try to encourage them to get therapy. reply
You know those portable scotch tapes with the cutters made of plastic or metal? Yeah uhm also consider that too. Keep that away from your sibling.
And if someone's gonna self-harm, it's not gonna be easy to stop them if they want to do it even if you remove everything that can be used to self-harm. Most people have nails (long or short) and uhm, I...... 1 reply
Honestly you have to urge them to get help and stop hurting themselves. Though, know you can’t make someone do something if they are unwilling, you can only do your best. They need help with the root of the problem, since there will always be knives in a kitchen. It can be much like an addiction actually, and it’s very hard for someone to quit ...... 1 reply
Anything can be used for sh but I guess it's mostly razor blades and box cutters. I think scissors too (anything sharp basically) but tbh I saw someone sh with a spoon once so hiding everything around them won't actually 100% stop them from doing any kind of self harm. Still, putting the effort to stop them from sh is really nice reply
