I recently started reading Yaoi too. I can't get enough of it.
I got into it by watching Sekaiichi Hatsukoi.
I really liked it and wanted to see if there was a manga that added more to the story.
At first I was really surprised at how much more graphic it was than the anime version.

First i avoid it so much, but think it's not a big problem since i'm an adult.
I read Shounen-Ai first, and made my way into yaoi mangas.

Never been caught cuz religious parent + me reading "gay porn" would not bode well. My Mom is pretty cool with me being bi (I've never admitted it but she likes to remind me that she still loves me even if I like girls -suspicious-)
