As a kid I watched Pokemon - but I don't count it, so my first anime was Death Note and that hooked me so badly that there was no way out anymore. As for manga, the first volumes that I read and bought were Blood+ and Kuroshitsuji. Oh those days. x) reply

I don't exactly remember, but I can say that the first time I watched gay scenes I was shocked, and it was in Brokeback Mountain, I was like OMGGGGGGG HAHA, I think it ignited the passion in me e.e reply
My first anime was Princess Mononoke - or at least I remember it to be. If not, this one left the biggest impact on me as a child. Great heartbreaking story with a beautifully drawn world.
But I have to admit that in Austria (and Germany because we share most of the same televison channels) there aren't a lot of different animes played. RTL II play...... reply
