Most shotacon/lolicon manga are very sexual orientated and usually are paired up with a grown ass adult, which i find very hard to enjoy. I don't mind shota manga, I actually quite like some of them, some disgust me. But hey, to each their own.
I don't even have to read the comments of this thread to know that a lot of people (especially americans if I may say so) strongly dislike these manga. And that's ok. In my opinion it's also ok to like them.

I personally don't have a problem with shota, my main reasoning being that I didn't have a problem with it or anything when I was a kid. I read it sometimes and enjoy it just like any other yaoi, not for the porn. 2 reply
I'm 25, and I can't stand shota. The few times I've visited the homepage of myreadingmanga, I've seen cover images of children in explicit poses, and it's disgusting. I read shota from time to time. It sometimes disgust me. Sometimes not really. But I don't think it shouldn't exist because of that. If it disgusts you then just don't read it.
