What ideas piss you off the most?

For me it's when people say,
"It's just an animal, it can't feel anything. They're dumb beasts."

I for real see red and start arguing. I'm mostly rational, but this pisses me off.

Don't y'all hate it when one person of the main couple (both adults) is emotionally manipulative, but the narration makes it sound like "aww they're (singular) actually really imperfect, they took it out on their partner-to-be just cuz they like them so much uWu" and other readers don't recognize it?

I don't mind redemption arcs, but I hate when it's treated like this before the getting together. To the Main Lead/Main Character, IDGAF if you're desperate to not lose your partner-to-be or to get their affections; don't expect me to sympathize with you treating them like shit just cuz you're gonna treat them better afterwards. Admit your mistakes first hoe!

TL, DR: Don't y'all hate when the narration turns an ML or MC's emotionally manipulative behavior to an "uWu he's so imperfect" moment?
