Violence should never be an answer. I've been hit so much, that I even dare them to hit me even more, I'm just so numb to it, I don't know how to feel when I get hit. But no, violence should not be used, use your words, you wouldn't want your kids to learn from your actions, then watching them do it to their own kids.   1 reply

Violence isn't ever an answer, but it's always a valid question. If it ever turns out that the answer is "yes", then it should immediately be asked "why". If there's a calm, reasoned answer (ex: "My kid took a swing at me and I wanted to teach them that if they tried that elsewhere, then they should be prepared to be hit back. depends on the situation, a spanking or a flick is somewhat better then full on kicking/punching your child to get your point across. but that should come after using words and shit, or just give them household chores?? **also i do not condone violence or anything along those lines but yk, sometimes a good flick will straighten out their act.   reply
