There's a very huge gap between a "spanking" and a "beating". There's also a huge difference between discipline and a parent doing it out of personal frustration, because at that point it's just flat abuse and the parent blowing off steam. I love bl because of the plot. To be honest, I am not fully comfortable with the sex scenes yet. I don't really care whether the manga/hwa/hua is shounen ai or yaoi. I only care about plot, character development, art style and chemistry between characters. I think bl stories are unique.   4 reply
