Long Stories [Question]

Is it just me who struggles to read long things? Like, once w get to the hundreds, it just becomes hard to read it. I’ve had things like this too, because I get get distracted and change interests easily, but I can normally build up on them.

Like with writing, I used to be able to write 100 words before getting bored, but now I can do 10000. Same with reading books, I used to not be able to focus on reading my book in second grade (my teacher really gave me a D in reading because I wouldn’t stop staring at the wall and other students during reading time) but now I can read 800 page book no problem.

I just don’t understand why I can develop a build up for how much I can read for this. I’m currently restarting Star x Fanboy for the fourth time because I have trouble once we get to the hundreds, and I couldn’t finish Here U Are either. Plus the Lady and Her Butler too, they’re just all too long. I’ve read something that’s had 160 chapters, but that was because I have an unhealthy addiction to The Promised Neverland, and I skipped the first 36 chapters, so it’s more of 130.

Am I the only one who can’t read long things? Or is this just another one of my (or as my family likes to call it) “me things”?

Jaws. My mom showed it to me when I was 6. I was terrified of going near any body of water after that. Even now, if I am at the beach, I still keep imagining sharks swimming up behind me.   reply

Spirited Away scarred me as a child. No face was scary even before he trransformed into a giant monster and ate everyone, and that scenes when she ran down the stairs... oh it gave me chills watching for the first time. The witch and her enormous baby was also super terrifying. Funny how this is now like my favorite film after I rewatched a couple ......   2 reply
