My younger sister knows, but has no interest in it. However, one of our mutual friends and I were talking about fanfiction and I accidentally slipped up and said "yaoi". You should have seen his face! He lit up so quickly! We talked about our favorites and recommended some new ones to each other. I was happy enough to have another gay man as a frie...... 1 reply
Yeah all my friends know. I'm pretty open. Although- my closest friend is really iffy and uncomfortable about it. So I don't mention it at all or that much to them. But the weird thing is- if I read something or watch something. To them they assume I'm just reading or watching yaoi all the time- and sometimes they say how the yaoi stuff is cringe a...... 1 reply

I wanna ask people how their reaction was when first reading yaoi and how they react when they read it now. My very first time reading yaoi was when I saw my sister's phone, and there was boys kissing inside (sbjshsksjsjsjs). My reaction was shook to the core as I was only 9 when I saw it. I was weirded out and I kept thinking on wtf my sister is reading on the internet. That was my reaction before. Now when I see people reading *u know what* what I typically think is "what manga is that? Should I ask?" And stuff like that. Also the first time when I was hooked to yaoi, I felt fluffy all over just because the two characters kiss. *Sigh* such an innocent time.
How about you? What were your reactions before and now when you read yaoi?
Hi, this might seem a little strange but im a non-binary Grey-Ace that reads these. It’s more of I dug too deep before I knew my sexuality and now I can’t stop. I take long breaks tho (too much sexy all at once can make me grossed) but i still enjoy it. Tho i do tend to prefer shounen ai more. reply
