I mean, this type of people exist in every genre, lol. It's nothing new at all. BL fans aren't really any different in that regard. The kind of "supremacist" type of people who want to establish the genre they like as more "better" or "superior". Seen that a million times over in other fandoms as well, most notably shounen fans. I can understand why they pedestalize it. BL became so popularised because it was an escape from a misogynistic reality. Women wanted to create stories of men experiencing what they would and everything resolving itself in the end. What women need to do is to stop using BL as the escape route.
