i understand what you mean. i personally have seen my fair share of bottoms and well some are extremely skinny, cant fend for themselves and are just stupid (for some reason lol or could be dense/oblivious) and well others are well build or at least have meat on their bones.

That may have been true years a go, but it's not anymore. There are plenty of stories where the uke is just as big and buff as the seme, if not bigger. There are real life gay men who ARE small and feminine. I know some. It's about preference. Some people find small feminine men attractive while others don't.

It's to make it feel more "normal" and probably for women to be able to relate more. It's just a heteronormative projection. It sucks, I also love it when both parties feel like actual men.
