Yes and no. My father was a homophobic when he was alive, the type of guy who didn't support bl relationships but sexualized two females. The fact that I was reading yaoi wasn't really my problem in letting my parent's know, it was more so the fact that I was writing bxb novels, and that they were getting pretty popular with votes and reads.

Writing isn't all that hard. You just have to practice daily and think about what kind of story you would want to read. I'm both a fanfiction and original writer. For me, writing wasn't really hard but the main problem is, as everyone had experienced before, motivation. I mostly write romance or tragedy, depends on my mood and my works are usually short. (I'm more of a short story writer lol)
