Both my parents have passed away so according to my daughter they probably do know, haha. Not sure how my mom would've reacted but I think my Dad wouldn't have cared. I think he would've called me a weirdo and that would've been the end of that.

Well, I'm the parent and my kids know I read yaoi (c: My parents don't even understand what anime and manga are, let alone yaoi. I don't think trying to explain it would be in anybody's best interest, plus I would hate to traumatize them in their golden years (late 70s). Honestly, I don't feel ashamed it's a genre just like erotic novels. Everyone has there own taste in what books they read. It can be a bit embarrassing when telling someone about it but honestly who cares what they think? If you don't feel comfortable sharing it thats ok!
