I totally get what you mean. After too many years of reading yaoi we found out that there's the same plot every 5 mangas and the same tropes, so you get tired of it. I’m glad that I had my yaoi phase before 8th grade because I would’ve regretted my actions even more. Yeah I feel that way too sometimes, but that’s manly just because it used to be the only genre I would read. I have since then branched out into GL, horror, comedy, and action. I still read it quite a bit tho.   2 reply
