Having a pet is a lot of work :/ So please choose an animal you KNOW you can keep up maintenance of. My first pet was a gerbil and it was a lot of work i didn't do so I often feel bad remembering poor muffins :(. but you're a lot older than I was then so I think you can get away with something a little more high maintenance. As someone who has grown up around animals and currently have a cat. Reading the situation the best option would actually be getting a hamster in my opinion. This is because it's affordable, the cage is easy to clean, and you can keep it your room with no issues. While say a cat is much more expensive but really the main thing is cat's can't handle......   reply
