As an avid guro reader, and someone who is completely desensitized to any sort of media, I can say that the only thing that ever made me feel uncomfortable is the manga:
The Caterpillar/Imo-Mushi
It's a manga by Suehiro Maruo and is based on a story by Edogawa Ranpo. One of the reasons that made me uncomfortable is that it's really really similar t...... reply
Don't remember the title, but I was looking for coming of age stories on the defunk MangaTown. It's not graphic but it has one of the few fictional characters I despise.

novel-wise, probably native son and mysterious skin. native son was a great book but has some pretty dark themes to it, and mysterious skin was deeply upsetting as i went into it blind and it discussed a topic i am very sensitive to (csa).
manga-wise, probably feeding lamb by nishin masumi or metamorphosis, for obvious reasons. 1 reply
