Hello there! I'm a 26 year old, heterosexual female from Colorado, though I'm planning on trying to move out-of-state soon.
Genre-wise I love Yaoi, Seinen, Horror, Action-adventure, Fantasy, Sci-fi and some things that sort of defy categorization.
I make jewelry as a hobby. I'm just getting started with doll modification, and I've done a bit of a ...... reply
No.. it nearly always puts me off, and makes me feel uncomfortable. In my mind I whenever I see a yaoi with rape I'm like - wtf?! dude isn't this Stockholm Syndrome? How can you guys fall in love with each other.. It just seems wrong IMO. :/ 3 reply
I personally don't like it. Whenever I see it (and I see it a lot unfortunately) I always end up wishing the victim would just leave the guy, even if it was because he "loved him so much" (like wtf who would do that to a person they care so much about) I don't like how a lot of relationships in yaoi start off like that because it's kind of manipul...... 2 reply
Shota/Loli, because in my opinion, it's wrong to sexualize children regardless of it being fiction... plus it's illegal in my country. I don't even read erotic manga or fiction featuring any underage characters because it's illegal and even if it wasn't it's still inappropriate for someone my age.
I will usually avoid historical mangas too beca...... reply
I don't mind the rape trope. I think it gets kind of old sometimes, but that's just me. The mangaka has every right to use it though. Just like they have the right to write about incest (as much as I hate it) or whatever the hell. I understand people getting all angry about it, but not everyone on here is an idiot. We understand the difference betw...... reply
I'm guessing genres?
For me, I'll stay away from:
Romance (few exceptions)
Mature and/or Smut (because hetero. adult themes fall under mature or smut but yaoi is different)
Shoujo Ai
Mecha
Gender Bender
Ecchi
Drama
Yuri
Bara
Harem
and so on. LUL. ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭
The rest of tags depend on my mood really. I'm sure it also depends for everyone. reply
Shouta and loli are big nopes for me. Incest, rape, physiological, abuse, tragedy (unless if it ends on a good note ;A;), comedy+Ecchi in straight manga mostly because they rely on annoying cliches for their comedy. Age gap if the younger person is under 18 at the time they met (I will investigate, but if one was say 25 and the other 35 when the...... reply
i tend to stay away from mangas that are tagged with rape or incest since i can't stomach either
( ̄∇ ̄")
also anything that gets tagged as "twisted" usually has fucked up relationships so i tend to avoid it lol shota and loli are also a no-go reply
