I agree with you, but to some extent. It happened to me to read these exact types of dynamics, but in a certain context I find them "irreversible". Like, if you're reading something tagged as psychological, thriller, dark, horror, etc, it's probably gonna happen if a love story (an obviously problematic one) is included. I agree, this is why I never took serial killer or kidnapping/stalker yaois seriously because it’s so unrealistic and glorifying of the abuser x victim trope which in actuality is disgusting   reply

Can we also talk about how in those scenarios where the male lead saves the MC from almost getting raped; they literally have sex immediately after and the entirety of the situation is completely brushed aside like the attempted sexual assault wasn’t a big deal?   1 reply
