I don't think it's necessarily an age thing I think it just happens when you've read enough stories that it ends up getting repetitive and you start to lose the anticipation that you had in the first few stories of that genre that you read. I HATE the repetitiveness of the whole cold seme (usually an asshole) and cute (usually bubbly) uke shebang that's prevalent in popular stories.
Sometimes it's done well (ex: Here U Are) but usually it's annoying and feels like reading the same story over and over again of a cutesy bottom that sits there and falls in love with the fuckwad seme...... 2 reply

-I really hate it when one of the male lead is a huge jerk but to make him look better there are other side characters who are more of a jerk so we don't hate the male lead.
-I also hate when the author tries to justify the rape, sexual assault and abuse by throwing sad backstory and so called 'character development'. reply
