Things i hate in BL/yaoi:
1- Rape. I hate it because it's romantacized, rape is scary and traumatizing it has consequences never shown in yaoi, uke even after being raped somehow end up forgiving seme and fall in love with him, uke doesn't even care. More than picky is instead that I have a very specific type and if it doesn't fit then I won't get turned on. TBH is easier to just go to AO3 and find a good fic instead of searching through manga aimlessly 2 reply
Apologetic Ukes. I absolutely hate when the Uke feels anxious or has doubts, and then the Seme gets upset, THEN after a little while of them reflecting, the Uke comes back all sorry that they felt like that in the first place. This ones pretty specific but I see this all the time. It's when the uke's first sexual desire towards the seme is purely caused by a drug/aphrodisiac & not bc he wants to sleep w/ the seme on his own accord.
Idk I'd prefer to see an organic sexual experience rather than one that's awakened solely from drugs. 1 reply
The bitchy female character who's only purpose of existance is to cause misunderstandings and try to break the couple apart.
