A lot of Yaoi readers, including myself, are desensitized to it to some extent. I personally am, as long as it’s fictional (which still doesn’t excuse that it’s rape). hi!! i was just wondering if people who read yaoi manga frequently are desensitised to the entire concept of rape. since i happened to see a comment where a person said that if a person says 'no' during sex it doesn't mean that they're being raped since they enjoy it. but even if a person is hesitant and saying yes, it can still be rape. i don't know if it's been normalised or people just never had the knowledge of what constitutes as rape. in your opinion: if you read yaoi manga, are you more desensitised to the concept of rape and have accepted it as normal?
