Fujoshi basically means disgusting woman (It's always been an insult). They don't like us because we read gay porn, and romanticize gay relationships.
That's basically it, if I wasn't one I would find them pretty gross. I even cringe when people say they like yaoi , manga, anime, or even kpop in irl, even though I like it and am probably an bigge...... reply
(Ps: I don't know if this happens everywhere but these past few months a lot of people from my country suddenly decided to hate on every single thing that has to do with yaoi)
I'm not saying there aren't problematic people in the community, but why does everyone have to keep attacking fujoshis so much?
Recently I've been seeing tons and tons of accounts to hate on yaoi and those who like yaoi. Some people from my country even criated an anti-fujoshi flag and keep attacking random people who enjoy yaoi and telling them to kill themselves on twitter and other social medias. This shit has gone to an extent where being called a "fujoshi" is now some kind of insult.
I understand that some fujoshis/fudanshis romantize rape, pedophilia and fetichize on real gay couples but seriously? Why generalize it so much? Why do people have to go as far as telling others to kill themselves just because of a messed up sense of justice?
There's an specific account (which is really popular where I live btw) that started disseminating the idea that *all* fujoshis hate lesbians/trans people, support pedophilia and enjoy sexual harassement and rape. They stuff as if we're some kind of LGBTQ+ hating cult. And worst of all, everyone just fucking believes that shit without questioning and keep disseminating that negative idea, and I'm sick and tired of that. This account says stuff like "all fujoshis should die" or "have you beat up a fujoshi today?", then whenever they get called out for saying mean/offensive stuff or for lying about some yaoi mangas [Exemple: they said that in Love is An Illusion Hyesung rapes Byul to make people hate on a fujoshi who said she loved their father-son relationship], they just respond with "GuYS wE NeVEr TOld YoU TO HatE On FujOShiS" or "EVerYthINg wE PosT iS 100% TrUE, We ALwaYs LoOK iT Up To MaKE SuRE NOthiNG fAkE geTS DissEMInatEd". I HATE THAT SM UGHHHHH (╯°Д °)╯╧╧
At least this account calls out to toxic fujoshis and try to make them understand why certain things are wrong (such as rape romantization and all the other bad stuff I previously mentioned), and that's the only thing I find good about this account. Everything else they do makes me super mad.
