I feel like the standard for bls are so low.There is such a big amount of toxic bls that as long as the mc and ml are green flags, people are gonna eat it up and say the story is amazing .I have nothing against fluff or anything but i feel like often they make green flag characters so perfect to the point that the characters just end up being flat.......   reply

Okay, this shouldn't even be a hot take, it should be common sense, but every time i say it people jump me: Jinx did irreversible damage to modern BL/yaoi culture. I KNOW elements like rape and abusive dynamics existed in BL way before Jinx. I'm not saying it invented those tropes. But after Jinx blew up?
