I’ve gotten honors all through highschool (I’m only in gr 11 but whatever) my highest grade was a 99 and my lowest was a 55 (still a pass in Canada) and that was my lowest by a lot since I got so many other 90’s that year lol 1 reply
Where I live, public schools are HELLA hesitant to hold a kid back or put them ahead. I remember having classmates who could barely read, or would write random answers on all their math tests as a kid. read more books. you might find this hard to believe but it actually does help you develop a stronger voice and proper wording in your essays. i used to read a ton of books and that alone strengthened a lot of aspects in my essays. (my lowest grade I've ever gotten in any english class was a B+) reply
I think your teacher knows what you lack the most, come up to them after class and ask them what you need to work on. I study linguistics and do tutoring, so I could also help you, but I would need to take a look at your essays. reply
Procrastinate on it until the day before, think of an interesting first line that leads to the thought/topic you're making, followed by an introduction of the topic, the general stuff you wanna share then the ending which you'll use to tie every detail together, it has something catchy in it too or something that would connect back to your introduc...... reply
kinda lame answer but asking for feedback from people esp teachers is rlly helpful for identifying what u mightve missed and how to incorporate it into ur writing.
reading other pieces of writing and expanding ur vocab is always good bc it can help you further express what you want and write the way you want ykyk?
