Bro I’m so sick of people commenting on my accent especially cause you bitches can not for the life of you agree on what I apparently sound like


I go to church and it’s all “your American accent has taken over” “you sound white” “you speak like Donald trump (they were being deadass when they said this)”


BUT THEN

I GO TO WORK


AND THE CUSTOMERS WANNA BE LIKE


“Oh where are you from?” “I like your accent” “your accent is really cute and the fact that you don’t realize you have one is even cuter (honestly one of the worst pick up lines I have heard in my entire life like I had to stop everything I was doing just so I could give him a blank stare)


I got curious and asked one time how they knew I was Nigerian because I’m pretty damn sure I don’t have an accent especially when I use my customer service voice and apparently it’s the “incantation of my voice” whatever the fuck that means
