the problem with that way of thinking is a lot of children don't learn what being gay is until much later in life. I didn't know it was possible for two people of the same sex to like eachother until I was 13 and within a couple years I was openly identifying as a lesbian because I was able to recognise my feelings as something beyond friendship. Unlike you, I don't feel like shows are shoving down gay relationships down my throat. But these shows help people normalize gay relationships.
