I personally have gone through almost this exact thing. And as much as it hurts, the best thing you can do for both of you is to let him go and let him know honestly how you feel. I understand there may be feelings that he did nothing to deserve this and all he has done is love you, and trust me, that feeling of guilt is strong, I'm not undersellin...... reply
If youve honestly lost feelings then you have to tell them, even if you think they'll be hurt/hate you the best thing to do is tell them. I had an online friend who was in a similar situation where she no longer loved her boyfriend of 5 years, she stayed with him afraid to hurt him and he proposed to her. You don’t need to have a spark to have a good relationship. That will fade in any and every couple over time.
