I feel like 90% of people will rank enemies to lovers #1 when they think about it cuz there's so many flavors to it. It can be a lighthearted sitcom rivalry or involve murdering loved ones. I think it REALLY depends on how GOOD/GREAT the writing and plot is whilst also if you're into angst or fluff. For instance, season 2 Bridgeton is a great enemies to lovers, I Cannot Reach You is a good friends to Lovers and Ackley Bridge has an AMAZING crushes to lovers. I think any story with any of these trope can be garbage or literal masterpiece just based on how good the writing is. Enemies to lovers is one of the most popular trope ever but so many author fuck it up completely.

Enemies to lovers but only in a fantasy or dystopian setting because with most contemporary romances, enemies to lovers, are just miscommunications or disagreements, so unless they're like enemies who actually HATEEEE for e.g they're on different sides of a war etc., with a good slowburn, then i wont read it.
