I did scanlation once and admittedly the panels quality was low. But the readers didn't hate it since I actually had good grammar and understandable translations lol. It's not that hard to put effort in translating, you're just ruining someone's day by experimenting your intrusive thoughts. Personally I dont care low quality panels bc Ik the strugg...... 2 reply
I get that. There are some people on here that actually put effort in despite not knowing a language because they want to provide a nice and comprehensible story for others/themselves. I have no problem with that, they're trying their best at least, and usually they do end up being pretty good.
But those that just paste words into google translate...... reply
I usually get on Mangago to browse manga/manhwa/manhua and end up buying a few official copies if there's an official translation.
BUT

I don't think most people even go through the picrews that much, but I know for a fact that they like to create their characters and post them. I like doing picrews, but I only look through a few of those pictures. It's fun to create my own little character and post them.

I will agree with your unpopular opinion. They are so annoying and I reserve my thanks and praise for the scanlation teams who put in effort to do the story justice by actually working on as good a translation as possible. Those guys are awesome.

i think picrews are fun n tbf they usually only show up when forums are dead i do kinda get it when a shit ton of ppl answer older picrews from like 2020-2021 i dont think theyre hurting anything tho reply
bad translation on smut scenes sucks but as long it's readable or just skip through the dialogue and enjoy the art. Like, most of the time its readable so it's not something worth complaining about, plus we're on an illegal site. reply
