I don't get why students think it's weird to be liking anime at their age. I'm 22 and studying medicine, I'm also a TA at the Biochem Dept in my school most of the kids in the class I usually sit in with are really into anime and no one really thinks it's weird. I understand your sentiments or issues in being open about liking anime but you see in college, people are more open minded so I don't think you need to hide it. Also, don't let anime be your sole identity. Take your time to learn and try new things or hobbies. 1 reply

I'm open about my interest but I don't go out of my way to show that I love anime. If someone asks, I'll gladly answer. Anime has actually been trending this past year or two so don't be afraid to be open about your passion. Im going to uni soon and ive been thinking should i keep my interest towards anime a secret?

I didnt keep it as a secret when i was in high school and.... stuff happened. Well its not all bad but there are people who thinks that im weird for liking it and tbh it does kill my self esteem a lil
