Westerners have twisted the meaning behind “fujoshi” along with tons of other words (like yaoi, BL, shounen ai, etc...) and basically created a whole community to bash fujoshis because of their own misconception. It would be amazing if we could help end these misconceptions and learn to appreciate a different culture! Fr tho...it’s LOWKEY nasty and embarrassing to see ppl like that...almost to the point where I think westerners shouldn’t be allowed to enjoy eastern culture...anyways.... check out these helpful resources! And the next time you see someone bashing fujoshis, hit them with the facts :))))

It’s just that the fujos that you see are the ones who are really over the top. I feel ashamed to like yaoi because of them. Everyone sees yaoi fans as the ones who are 13 and act all cringe and say things that are fetishy. Sadly, that’s how it is with majority of things that may be conflicted.
