Westerners have twisted the meaning behind “fujoshi” along with tons of other words (like yaoi, BL, shounen ai, etc...) and basically created a whole community to bash fujoshis because of their own misconception. It would be amazing if we could help end these misconceptions and learn to appreciate a different culture! Fr tho...it’s LOWKEY nasty and embarrassing to see ppl like that...almost to the point where I think westerners shouldn’t be allowed to enjoy eastern culture...anyways.... check out these helpful resources! And the next time you see someone bashing fujoshis, hit them with the facts :))))

imo ppl disagree with op because the true origin of the word 'fujoshi' doesnt excuse current creepy fujoshi behaviour. I'm not talking abt casual and normal fans of bl ofc. honestly i think it's weird to call yourself a fujoshi anyway bc you shouldn't revolve ur identity around shipping boys w each other 2 reply
