Got to agree, I find it very hard to read other genres now, not that I don't want to but just can never feel comfortable with the main characters if they're in a straight relationship, I start to ship the male characters instead!! reply
I feel the same thing sometimes.
I have gay friends and i envy their relationship with their partners...they are very sweet to each other giving gifts, surprising each other with sudden dates, picking up after school/work eveything are just very sweet unlike those nornal couples. Where I live "normal" straight relationships are sexist and abusive, women are raised to be submissive and are usually raped by their partners just because men think women only exist to satisfy their needs. So as you can see is pretty similar to yaoi reply
Yep it also happened to me too, I used to able to balance out watching and reading both hentai and yaoi but I think I've read and watched SO MUCH yaoi that I think it's impossible for me to like stories with straight relationships, Hell I even want all the doujin ships to be canon. Yaoi is so much better than straight relationships because it is much more intense and the sex is amazing. The stories are not cliche. And it really relates to you whether you are a man or a women. reply

No, that has not happened to me. But, I am bisexual, so I would date a person if I fell in love with them - regardless of what sex they are.
