Coming out advice
So it's been a while since I've realized I'm not straight. Two of my friends already know it but I want to come out to my mom. Me and my mom are really close. We talk about literally everything and she loves me a lot but the thing is we are a catholic household and she doesn't understand lgbt(although she never talked bad about them but she said she wouldn't want her close people to ne gay) I tried bringing this up but always got scared. She is currently telling me to get a bf and I just want to tell her the truth. What do I do?
Honestly unless you're completely sure she will react well I wouldn't, you never know how people can react to things. And it could possibly put you in danger. I would wait until you're financially stable, and maybe before then try to talk about the lgbt community in front of her but subtly so she gets more used to it and not as weird about it. reply
