What's the point of omegaverse stories without kids. Wasn't it made to give the guys a child so they can have a happy family? What's with the rape and all ? Who tf made it like that? Couldn't it be like normal world just where a guy can get pregnant and mate and not be raped or abused. I really hate it. Don't know what ya'll think but this is horrible
Omegaverse as a genre is probably one of if not the most offensive group of titles on this site.
- ABO hierarchy is literally a caste system and used to divide economic class within a story's world based on which one you are (Rich powerful Alphas is literally how omegaverse hinges 99% of its plots).

no one is required to have children just because they can have them lol, same with cis heterosexual couples and any other. i dislike the rape and abuse too but it’s a concept in omegaverse because that’s what the system is supposed to display. the relationship between the low and the high class, the status of certain genders. ofc the glorified ...... reply
Also lgbt fiction that properly address the topic of family are way more interesting and meaningful than any omegaverse story. Want kids? Adoption, found family, bisexual and trans characters, and the struggles of being lgbt parents in a heteronormative society are all things we could be looking at instead of omegaverse struggles, which are bs. Kinda ironic that yaoi can be read for escapism and we end up with a sub-genre that (at large) exaggerates everything we don't like about heteronormativity instead like regular yaoi tropes weren't stupid enough. reply
I agree, omegaverse should be about having a happy family.
BUT!!!! The rape of omegaverse is a more realistic and horrible occurrence that probably would happen daily to omegas. I think the first person who thought of this was like, well might as well give omegas the same pressure of society that many women feel! 2 reply

Personally I like the potential the universe can have. Idk I just think it's interesting, but I'm not blind to the problematic undertones. Are there well written omegaverse stories that don't rely on r*pe to move the plot? Yep, there are believe it or not. Are most of them handled terribly?
