75% of BL is just shoujo with boys
Like seriously. Most of the annoying tropes that people complain about in shoujo are present in so many BL manga. Also no one seems to complain about it. When the MC acts too girly and cries a lot it’s annoying but if the uke does it, it’s ok. When the ML is an asshole and takes advantage of the MC everyone hates him but when the seme does it, it’s ok. Honestly, I don’t understand the thought process of some of you guys and I’m starting to realize this goes beyond just shoujo and BL. You’re so quick to hate on female characters who have done nothing wrong because they’re “annoying” or “get in the way of your ship”. But when it’s a hot guy like Hisoka or something all logic ceases to exist.

Because there *is* none. There *is* no thinking or logic, only mental gymnastics and that's half the issue right there. If people 'round here would use their heads for like 10 seconds they'd realize a lot of shit here is problematic, hypocritical, or both. 1 reply

oh ew that trope. I completely agree. I read 60% of yaoi, 30% of shounen ai and the other 10% is either action or comedy. I don't really see that many tropes but they do exist and in all honesty, if a uke is annoying then the uke is annoying and the same goes for the MC of a shounen. Let's hate all females vibes for me, especially if its women tearing down women. You should be ashamed of insulting a female character because of her hopelessness, how many girls do you know irl that can fight back those tropes? of being assaulted by a male or a group of bitches.. this is beyond Shoujou it's a social phenomenon.

Yeah, I've always noticed a certain amount of hypocrisy in the BL community. People hate when a character does x in shoujo/non-BL but excuse it in BL?? Or they're very vocal about problematic things in non-BL but overlook it in BL?? It's especially noticeable with female characters though... A female character could be well written, fun, and useful...... reply
I personnaly don't know anyone like this (who likes these trops) i mean that's what gets bored in story. BUT i guess a clingy character could be okay if well written.
The real problem is badly written characters that are flat and boring, you could make any personnality trait amasing if you know how to use it.

Coz emotion of humanity exist. If it dont exist there no feeling to what we really read gets me?. so just let them be Im used to it if some people hate this or love that it their freedom to choose what they say to it.
