I grew up with alcoholic parents and an abusive big sister (yes I know most of them are) and I have to say, all my worst experiences involve doors.
When I was little my big sister would lock both me and my younger sister in the basement to torment us. I remember one time she made us put on diapers and wouldn't let us leave until we peed in them.
