You don’t pay for it, but it is illegal. Also if you get too far from the store with it, most shopping carts will lock up so just a fair warning don’t take it anywhere else if you plan to keep it mobile   1 reply

I've never stolen a shopping cart before and it's pretty hard to steal one here anyways. People from the shopping store would go outside regularly to pick up the shopping carts that people left outside, the shopping cart itself has the store logo on it so it's pretty obvious where you stole it from.
